Home of the Michigan Railroad History Museum. This was a very busy station. During the early 1900’s when the railroadwas at its peak, 42 passenger trains, 22 mail trains, and 78 freight trains passed through Durand daily. 1905 Victorian-style railroad depot.

Open seven days a week, MEMORIAL DAY to LABOR DAY. Take a ride on a 2-mile train ride on the world's largest quarter-size railroad. All buildings, bridges, tunnels, trestles, trains etc., were designed, engineered, and built on-site by William A. Stenger and family. Enjoy the park, playground, hobby shop, and special events.

The Steam Railroading Institute is best known for their all-day steam excursions. Every year trips are scheduled and carry thousands of passenger around Michigan behind one of the largest operating steam locomotives in the United States. What are you waiting for?
